Dear RCC Community,
Since November 2022, Project Place has provided cafeteria services to the RCC community. Recently, both organizations decided not to renew the food services contract for FY25. Due to circumstances outside of RCC’s control, Project Place is closing the cafeteria effective immediately.
RCC leadership is currently researching short-term food service providers for the next 3-5 months. If you have suggestions for short-term food service providers, please send your recommendation to Dean Robyn Shahid-Bellot at rshahid-bellot@rcc.mass.edu.
Concurrently, the leadership team is drafting an RFP for a long-term food service contract. We are committed to executing an RFP and bid review process that is aligned with state requirements and ensures that the selected vendor is equipped to provide the RCC community with affordable food and beverage options. We appreciate your patience and understanding throughout the process.
RCC Students are also being notified of this closure. Please remind RCC students that the Rox Box is open this summer, and the heat-and-eat freezer will be stocked, as well. Additional information is available on the Project Access web page.
