In Boston, you have many options to consider when deciding where to study. RCC is an excellent choice, because:
Class Schedules Are Based On Your Needs – We know that you are busy, and that not every student can attend classes during the day. We offer evening courses, Saturday courses, and online courses so that you can earn a degree while you work. RCC’s support services are available both in-person and online, so you can access support from our traditional or virtual campus.
You Can Attend RCC For Free! – The MassEducate and MassReconnect programs allow all Massachusetts residents who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree to attend {college} for free. No tuition. No fees. And both programs include an allowance for books and supplies for certain students. Boston residents may also qualify for the Tuition-Free Community College program. If you do not qualify for a tuition-free program, don't worry! RCC is proud to offer various financial assistance programs, including scholarships provided through the Roxbury Community College Foundation (RCCF).
Location, Location, Location – Located in the middle of Boston, RCC’s 16-acre, 6-building campus is within walking distance of Nubian Square, the Longwood Medical District, and Boston’s Avenue of the Arts. Directly across the street from the Roxbury Crossing T station, RCC is also a 5-minute walk from Jackson Square with multiple MBTA bus stops across the campus. And did we mention that RCC students can park for free in one of RCC’s parking lots? It’s not only easy to get to RCC; once you’re here, you’re steps away from art, music, culture, and Boston’s top employers.
Course Transfer – Credit courses at RCC that transfer to four-year institutions do so in one of two ways. One as a course-to-course transfer. The other as a course to elective transfer of credit. You can begin your studies at RCC and transfer many of your credits to four-year institutions when the time comes through options such as MassTransfer, Mass. Guarantee, and many other transfer initiatives. RCC’s Transfer Services offers dedicated, one-on-one support, ensuring that you receive personalized guidance on transfer options.
Our Facilities are New and Improved – In 2017, RCC completed a major campus improvement project, and we didn’t stop there! The Media Arts Center now includes a renovated auditorium, with a new BOSE sound system, new lighting system, and more. The academic building includes a new Student Commons (with A/V upgrades added in Spring 2022), library, learning center, STEM labs, and study areas. The Heath Sciences building includes a mock hospital with the same technology used in major research hospitals. At RCC, your future is our focus, and our campus was built to ensure your long-term career success!
